The Salvation Army Call to Prayer line for March 11, 2010.
“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land” 2 Chron 7:14.
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old has gone, the new has come” 2 Cor 5:17
1. Pray for the victims of the earthquakes in Chile and Haiti and for Salvation Army and other relief workers who are providing recovery assistance.
2. Pray for the protection of our nation from Islamist terrorists and other foreign aggressors. Pray for our nation’s leaders to provide strong policies to protect our nation.
3. Pray for President Obama, and both houses of Congress, that they will reconcile their differences and pass needed Health Care legislation. There are no easy solutions. Pray that they will be given divine guidance!
4. Pray for the safety of our soldiers fighting for freedom in Afghanistan. Encourage their families, who also give great personal sacrifices. Comfort those who have lost loved ones.
5. Pray for each Salvation Army leader around the world: For General Shaw and Commissioner Helen Clifton, Commissioners Gaither; each International Leader, for our Western Territorial leaders; Commissioners Philip and Patricia Swyers, Colonels William and Susan Harfoot, THQ Cabinet and Staff, Divisional Leaders, ARC Officers, Corps Officers, Cadets and Employees. Pray for Commissioners James and Carolyn Knaggs, currently serving as Australia South Territorial Leaders, who will become our Western Territorial leaders effective July 1, 2010. God Bless them and the Salvation Army!
6. Pray for those in need of God’s healing touch: for Barbara Johnson of Sedona who has been diagnosed with internal nodules and a possible aneurism, pray for successful treatment and complete healing; for Major Anna Phillip’s new grand-daughter, Madison Phillips, arrived 6 weeks prematurely. Pray for her and her mother, Kim, for healing and for additional surgery; For Loretta, of Las Vegas, for successful surgery on March 19 and healing; Chris, of Bournemouth, England prayers for healing; Larry and Daniel Halverson; John B. healing post surgery; for Steve; Mary Kyle; Major Jennifer Bates; A/Captain Elsie Lantz; Majors John & Patricia Rhemick’s daughter, Kathleen Wreath; Brett & Lorena Strickland; for Jane Brown; Diane Hermosillo’s Grandmother, Velma, 100 years old has lung problem; Jennifer R and her husband; for Major Dennis and Diana Trimmer; Captain Spousta, waiting for back surgery.
7. Pray for: nine week old Karnia Grace Smith, of Kentucky suffering intestinal problems. She is the granddaughter of Captains Les & Susan Spousta of Kingman; for Emily Moncada, grand-daughter of Majors Carlos & Rosa Rodriguez; for Jackie B.’s daughter-in-law’s mother, in hospital; Major Antonio Horta, in hospital; Marie Henderson, in hospital: Captain Gina Halverson; Major Jennifer Bates; Aubree; for James Shull; for Sheryl Callahan’s mother, Malva Farrell; Major Joe Thompson; Bill and Carol; Walter Rainey’s sponsor, John H.; ARCs Staff, Employees, Beneficiaries, Adherents, Volunteers, Donors, and Shoppers, may God bless this program to His Glory!

11. For the families of those recently bereaved: For Major Steve, Jonathan and Aleen Bradley in the Promotion to Glory of Major Sheila Bradley. This courageous and faithful soldier of the Cross was an inspiration and blessing to so many. People saw in her a strength and deep trust in God. She will be profoundly missed…but one day we shall meet again in Glory! May God give each family member and friend a double portion of His love and comfort. (Read Isaiah 57:1&2 NLT)
12. Pray for Southwest Youth Councils “Identity.” And pray for the Alaska Congress. Pray for the Delegates and the speakers, that God would be honored and praised!
